Clinical Paediatric Endocrinology
Objectives
A clinical attachment to enable doctors to manage common childhood endocrine disorders as well as acute endocrine and diabetes emergencies, to be familiar with endocrine stimulation testing and imaging studies and to be able to order appropriate tests and interpret the test results.

Pre-requisite
All applicants must fulfill the requirements for temporary registration with the Singapore Medical Council (www.smc.gov.sg).
Duration
Training Dates/Period
3-month clinical observerships are from April to June and October to December Clinical fellowships may be planned and preferred dates indicated upon application
Certification
Doctors will be provided with a certificate of completion
Positions/Training Places
Doctors with prior experience in paediatric and adolescent endocrinology who are interested in applying for a paid service/training role as Clinical Fellow in Endocrinology may submit an application.
Course Fee
Fees will be determined upon application.
Funding
Candidates should be self-funded or have funding from external sources/institutions.

Paediatric Diabetes Nursing
A nursing attachment to enable nurses to provide paediatric diabetes education and counselling as well as advanced diabetes care.
The nurse will have:
A two-week posting in Paediatric Diabetes Nursing is an attachment to Diabetes Nurse team observing diabetes education and counselling conducted at inpatient and outpatient levels and incorporating training on diabetes care skills.
A two-week posting in Insulin Pump Nursing provides training in care and management of insulin pump as well as the initiation and follow-up care of insulin pump therapy.
For nurses who manage children with diabetes.
All applicants must be registered nurses.
