Profile
Dr Poon is currently the Head of Child and Adolescent Mental Wellness Service and a Senior Consultant Psychiatrist at the Department of Psychological Medicine at KK Women's and Children's Hospital. She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. Dr Poon is very active in the training of undergraduate student doctors from both Duke-NUS and Lee Kong Chian Medical Schools and in the training of doctors in the Psychiatry Residency program. She has a broad range of experience in treating adults, children and adolescents with mental health disorders.
Originally, Dr Poon obtained her medical degree at the Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry before going on to complete her postgraduate psychiatry training in Singapore. She was awarded the MMed (Psychiatry) by the National University of Singapore. In addition, she is also a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists of England.
