Dr Ng Qiu Ju is a Consultant with the Department of Gynaecological Oncology in KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH). She graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2013. Subsequently, she broadened her knowledge by obtaining the Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSEd) in 2015.
Dr Ng began her specialist training by joining the SingHealth Obstetrics and Gynaecology (OBGYN) Residency Programme in 2014. She became a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist (MRCOG) and received the Master of Medicine (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) in 2019. In 2021, she became an OBGYN specialist and received subspecialty training in Gynaecological Oncology. Since 2022, she is also an accredited Colposcopist.
She is one of the leads for the Oncofertility Clinic in KKH, which is Singapore’s first multidisciplinary clinic caring for young women diagnosed with Gynaecological Cancers. She runs this weekly clinic together with the Fertility specialist. She also runs the Vulval Clinic, Singapore’s only dedicated clinic for women with vulval issues.
In recognition of her outstanding performance during residency, Dr Ng received the Outstanding Resident Award from 2015 to 2017. In addition, she was awarded the SingHealth Quality Service Award and Service from the Heart award for her excellent patient care.
Dr Ng is a strong advocate of patient-centered care and provides individualised and evidence-based management for her patients. She is passionate about Well Women’s Screening, especially cervical cancer screening and the diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological cancers.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Ng has published in various scientific journals and has oral and poster presentations in both local and international conferences. Locally, she was awarded the Outstanding Young Investigator Award in 2015 by the SingHealth Duke-NUS OBGYN ACP for her research contributions.
Dr Ng is a co-author of the 3rd edition of the popular and acclaimed “Practical Obstetrics and Gynaecology Handbook for O&G Clinicians and General Practitioners”, and contributing author to a textbook on high-risk pregnancies. She is also active in educating and mentoring juniors and medical students from local medical schools.
Dr Ng was the Chief Resident of the SingHealth OBGYN Residency in 2017 to 2018 and was involved in the organisation and planning of residency activities and rotations. She was also selected to be a Chief Resident in the SingHealth Residency Leadership Programme (SRLP) where she gained exposure in healthcare management and administration.
